    Abstract

    The revision of CM 51-07 seeking to modify fisheries management in Subarea 48.1 by introducing a value for acceptable krill catches is neither consistent with the statute of CM 51-07 nor compatible with CM 51-01.

    The changes to CM 51-01 and a possible update or replacement of CM 51-07 require krill resource surveys in Area 48, covering Subareas 48.1 to 48.4 with a system of synoptic and regional standardised acoustic surveys.

    The Russian Federation considers it necessary to prolong the operation of CM 51-07.
