CEMP Special Fund activities 2022

No new proposals for the CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Program (CEMP) Special Fund were submitted by the application deadline in 2022. Four ongoing projects received funding from the CEMP Special Fund in 2022. Funds supporting Uruguay’s incorporation of Ardley Island into the CEMP is included in the General Science Capacity Fund report. One ongoing project to fund maintenance of the CEMP Camera network is expected to continue in 2022/23 with an expenditure of $A15 000 expected in 2023. Two other projects are currently in progress or delayed due to COVID-19 and funds already disbursed. The panel will nominate a new junior member at the Scientific Committee meeting.
