Ten years of the CCAMLR Compliance Evaluation Procedure (CCEP)

This paper provides a brief 10-year history and review of the CCAMLR Compliance Evaluation Procedure (CCEP), as well as outlining the general flow of the process. Since implementation of the CCEP, increased transparency, accountability and compliance has ensued, with constant review and improvement critical to the continued success of the CCEP. This paper highlights both historical and current implementational practice, and the evolution of Conservation Measure (CM) 10-10 since adoption. It is anticipated that this paper will inform discussion towards the refinement of CM 10-10 and in the long-term, continue to strengthen compliance.
